About Chesilhurst
Chesilhurst is a small community of under 2,000 residents as of the 2010 census. The town was incorporated as a borough by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on November 26, 1887, from portions of Waterford Township and Winslow Township, based on the results of a referendum held on October 18, 1887.
Chesilhurst is something of a suburb of Philadelphia, but you won’t find anywhere near the level of congestion of a typical big-city suburb here. This town is far enough removed that it’s still an easy trip, but the area is still a quiet and peaceful place to live.
There are plenty of restaurants and eateries that line the White Horse Pike (U.S. Route 30), which runs through the edge of Chesilhurst.Route 30 offers quick access to NJ Route 73, for a short trip to several great shopping and dining destinations both along the route and in the mall complexes in Moorestown and Cherry Hill.
The town is also not far from the Atlantic City Expressway, making a trip to Philadelphia or to the Jersey Shore a snap. Do you work in Philly or AC?
